Welcome to the WCBA Website

The Wood County Bar Association is a group of attorneys and judicial officers residing or practicing in Wood County, Ohio.  Any attorney who is licensed and in good standing in the State of Ohio, or any other state or the District of Columbia, is eligible for membership. Law students and certified paralegals are also encouraged to join.

WCBA members work together to promote reform in the law, facilitate the administration of justice, and elevate the standard of integrity, honor, courtesy and professionalism in the legal field. The Wood County Bar Association promotes a spirit of common purpose and camaraderie among members of the legal profession.

Members of the WCBA are afforded the opportunity to attend CLE courses at little or no cost through programs sponsored and advertised through the WCBA.  Newly licensed attorneys are encouraged to become involved through the WCBA's sliding dues schedule, which favors those recently admitted to the practice of law.  Members have the chance to socialize with fellow lawyers and discuss timely topics. The gatherings allow for interaction and conversation between the bench and the bar.

Members participate in various committees to heighten the organization’s knowledge of practice areas and provide legal services to those in our community who may not otherwise have access to such services.

Through this organization, attorneys in Wood County have a forum to exchange ideas, promote discussion and debate, and become acquainted with fellow bar members outside of the adversarial system.
